A recent IT Security Guru article says that when it comes to the development of policies governing the use of AI technologies and in developing new AI tools, corporate cybersecurity teams often find themselves out of the loop:
Only 35% of cybersecurity professionals or teams are involved in the development of policy governing the use of AI technology in their enterprise, and nearly half 45% report no involvement in the development, onboarding, or implementation of AI solutions, according to the recently released 2024 State of Cybersecurity survey report from ISACA, a global professional association advancing trust in technology.
The article says that cybersecurity professionals are using AI tools in a variety of security-related applications, but notes that cyber teams must be involved whenever a new AI solution is being developed or deployed within their enterprise – include when AI capabilities are added to existing products.
